The Tourtoirac Cavern : “the geological pearl of the Périgord” was discovered in 1995 and has been open to the public since May 2010.
It consists of a huge cavity that runs along an underground river.
All forms of concretions dress the ceilings and walls in an artistic abundance. Columns, eccentrics, fistulas rub shoulders with draperies, jellyfish and gours, while scalenoedra are discreetly placed on the edges.
This profusion of calcite is beautifully highlighted thanks to LED lighting along a path that is fully accessible to PRMs and strollers.
The audio guides allow you to follow the tour in several languages and audio description for the visually impaired.
The visit lasts 1 hour
