Nestled in a remote area, a typical formation of the Jura geology, the caves of Baume les Messieurs are a picturesque excursion site that has been very popular since the beginning of the 20th century. Indeed, discovered in 1610 then explored in 1893, the caves of Baume have been open to visitors for more than a century. During one hour, discover an underground world composed of five rooms stretching over 500 meters of gallery. Let yourself be seduced by the unusual fauna of the caves (bats and blind shrimps (Niphargus)), and the impressive volumes including the highest vertical underground in the Jura (70 meters) with exceptional acoustics.
